Day 1: Surabaya – Sukapura
Depart from Surabaya and drive to a Hotel in Bromo Area, departure time can be as requested or depending on flight arrival. Once you reach the hotel, you will have some time to spare at your convenience by strolling around the hotel, the nearby farming area, witnessing the daily activities of the Tenggerese people, or just relaxing at the hotel.
Day 2: Sunrise Mt Penanjakan – Sea of Sand – Bromo Crater –Bondowoso/Probolinggo
Get ready to be picked up at 03.00 a.m by a 4 WD-vehicle to experience the bumpy road to reach Mt. Penanjakan, which is the best spot to enjoy the breathtaking scene of Bromo sunrise. Driving down the hill, you will pass the vast sea of sand, resulting from the eruption of Mt. Bromo, in a 30 minute-easy track all the way to the peak. From the crater rim, you can see the active Bromo crater, caldera and the mountainous views of Mt. Batok and the highest mountain in Java Island, Mt. Semeru. Also, you can find the Hindu temple reflecting the Majapahit history. If you are lucky, you will be able to witness the Yadnya Kasada ceremony, a Tenggerese festival held every 14th of the Kasada month, to honor Sang Hyang Widhi the Almighty God, Roro Anteng the daughter of King Majapahit and Joko Seger the son of Brahmana. After breakfast, you will head to Ijen Crater in Banyuwangi/Bondowoso with a stopover for lunch. Here, you will stay for a night in a hotel.
Day 3: Mount Ijen – Ketapang Port
Get ready in the early morning because you will be picked up at 11.30 p.m from your hotel. We will start the trip by driving you to Paltuding. Afterwards we will begin an hour-long trek to Ijen Crater. Here, you can get the chance to witness the dazzling blue lava-like rivers of light known as the Blue Fire phenomenon. Next, we will explore the crater area and see a panoramic view of Mount Ijen turquoise. At 08.00 a.m, we will return to Surabaya, Malang or Ketapang port.
